i wouldn't say they are really warm under 45 degrees, but they are better than anything else I have found.
They have pockets and feel like compression leggings.
Ive asked for more for Christmas.

Great biking pants. They have sufficient padding front and back, to relieve some biking seat pain. I highly recommend.
